elizabeth ocskay
Elizabeth spent her early childhood on a farm in Europe and began drawing horses as soon as she was old enough to hold a pencil. She continued drawing into her teens and returned to it as an adult. In her various corporate positions, she became a student of human nature and enjoyed its many quirks and oddities, entertaining co workers with cartoons and caricatures, commemorating funny events or characteristics.
. . . More recently, she took classes, first at the Woodstock School, then at Wallkill River School of Art where she became a represented artist three years ago. Currently she works primarily in oil and pastel, but has done pen and ink, watercolor, graphite and mixed media. She has been commissioned for portraits, pet portraits and cartoons. Her work is attracting a growing following to her continued surprise and she delights in the pleasure her paintings and drawings have given to others.
